Access and purchases
What is free?
The download is free. So are the rules primer, every Chunking Reps lesson, Today's rack, and your first full hand against the bots. You can stay on the free lessons for as long as you like.
What does full access cost?
$19.99 once for Lifetime, or $7.99 a year for Annual. Both unlock the whole course path, every practice module, coached replay, and unlimited full-hand play. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and the App Store shows the price in your own currency.
I bought it. How do I get it back on a new device?
Sign in to the same Apple ID, open the access screen in the app, and tap Restore purchases. Nothing is charged again.
How do I cancel the annual plan?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Mahjong Ready. Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the year you paid for.
Can my family use it?
Lifetime can be shared with your Family Sharing group at no extra cost.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all App Store refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Using the app
The hands in the app don't match my card.
That is expected. Mahjong Ready uses its own training card with original hands in the familiar families. Your printed card will list different hands, and it changes every year. What you practice here carries over: reading a category, spotting groups, choosing a target, using jokers, and reading discards.
How do I make the tiles bigger?
Open Settings in the app and turn on Larger tiles. Simple home is in the same place if you want a quieter home screen.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account, ever. Practice works offline. The App Store is needed only when you buy or restore.
How do I re-read the rules or change my level?
Both are in Settings in the app. You can reopen the rules primer at any time and change the level you chose when you first set up.
Which devices work?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later.
Is my data private?
Yes. The app collects nothing and sends nothing. Your progress stays on your device. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
